When Mark Godshall’s mother died from cancer, Mark tried to stuff his grief because he had to “get back to work.” He was a busy pastor with a lot of responsibilities that couldn’t be sidelined.
When his mother-in-law died within a year after his mother’s death, he again tried to get right back to work without missing a beat. As a pastor who had helped people with their grief after the loss of a loved one, he thought he would be fine.
Within a short time, however, he realized he wasn’t OK, and realized he needed to allow himself to begin his grieving process. During this interview, Mark shares how he started on his grief journey which had been delayed for several months. He shares the difficulties as well as the blessings of his journey. We appreciate Mark’s transparency as he tells his story. We hope you are encouraged as you listen.
