TooheyBrennan Toohey served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War and continues to live with the memory and trauma of that conflict even today.

Inspired by his military buddy, Cal Butterfield, Brennan wrote a poem entitled “Borrowed Time.”  Two phrases from that poem stand out as Brennan describes the trauma that many veterans continue to live with, “…not able to shake the fear, not able to shed a tear,”  and, “If it’s true a coward dies a thousand deaths, and a brave man but once, then why do these brave men die over and over in my dreams?”
We invite you to listen as Brennan shares about his journey. If you know someone who is showing signs of Post Traumatic Stress and you want to understand more about what they are going through, this interview will help!
